Frequently Asked Questions

Got a question?  Here are answers to some of the most frequently asked questions of the Corinbank crew.

Can I get Corinbank tickets at the gate?

Corinbank has a limited capacity, which was reached in 2010. If tickets sell-out prior to the festival, they will not be available on the gate. Your best bet is to buy tickets now

Is Corinbank a camping-only event?

No – because our amazing site is only a 20 minute drive to the southern suburbs, it’s easy to go home after a great day of entertainment.

 How much does camping cost?

Camping is free with 3-day tickets! Day tickets do not include camping.

How much do kids tickets cost?

Children under 16 are just $5 (+ BF)! Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

 Is Corinbank family-friendly?

It sure is! Come and play with juggling things, diabolos, devilsticks, stilts, rola-bolas, twirling things, hula-hoops, walking beams, hand-held stilts and more! But please remember we’re not a babysitting service. Your kids need to be supervised at all times.

My tickets haven’t arrived yet…where is it?

It’s probably in the mail or being mailed as you read this! For all ticketing enquiries please email info@corinbank.com.

Can I bring my own alcohol?

Sorry, you are not allowed to bring any alcohol or glass containers. This is a condition of our liquor permit, and any BYO alcohol might mean we can’t run the festival again. Cars will be checked for alcohol on arrival, and any contraband will be confiscated. We take this very seriously. Alcoholic drinks are available on-site.

 Are there free drinking fountains?

Yes, drinking water is available on-site. Bring your own refillable water bottle, or buy a Corinbank bottle from the CorinStore.

Will there be toilets and hot showers?

Yes, indeed. In alignment with the festival vision we are using composting toilets to help minimise our footprint, and we ask you to keep your showers short. Please be thoughtful about your water use.

What’s the best time to arrive?

Gates open at noon on Friday 2 March 2012 — arrive early to avoid traffic. Corinbank starts at 4pm. Please try to carpool! Gates open at 8am on Saturday and Sunday.

Will there be payphones or mobile coverage inside the venue?

No payphones are available. Mobile reception is pretty much non-existent at the festival.  You can walk 300m from the site to get mobile coverage.

How far will I have to carry my massive tent?

Space is limited, so we hope you bring your smallest tent! If you arrive early you’ll be carrying your tent all of 20 metres. If you get there late, about 300 metres — all car parking should be within 400 metres of the site.

What’s the deal with car parking?

There is very limited parking within the festival grounds, and more off-site. We urge you to take the Corinbank Party Bus or carpool to save space, as well as minimise energy consumption and pollution.

Will there be First Aid on-site?

Yes. First Aid stations will be on site, clearly visible to find, and clearly marked on the festival site map.

Will there be hats, sunscreen and life’s essentials sold?

Yes, head to our merchandise tent, and while you’re there, grab some Corinbank underwear.

Will there be a festival map available ahead of time to see locations of food courts, bathroom areas, etc?

Yes. It will also be in the Festival Program, available on-site.

 Will there be lockers on-site?

Sorry, no. You won’t need them if you have a tent!

What about fires, heaters and stoves?

No fires allowed except the supervised fires at several locations across the site for warmth. Cafe-style heaters are not allowed. Small camping gas cookers are ok to use ONLY at the Campers Kitchen in the Square Rock campsite.

Can I bring my caravan or trailer-camper to Corinbank?

Unfortunately space is limited at the amazing festival site, so no caravans or trailer-campers are permitted on-site.

Can I take photos or video of musical acts?

Recording images, video or sound of music performances at Corinbank for public use is illegal. Publishing such content is also illegal and an infringement of intellectual property.

Do I need identification to verify my age in order to be served at the Bar?

You will need to verify your age at the main entry gate to receive your Over 18s wristband, which is required to purchase any alcohol at the festival.

Will there be ATM / cash out facilities on-site?

There will only be limited cash out facilities, so make sure to bring cash with you!
